At Your Body Works health education doesn’t just start with teaching sound fitness and nutrition. With over 70% of Americans clinically overweight, and heart disease being the #1 killer of Americans, it’s critical we begin educating individuals on how to recognize and appropriately respond to the signs and symptoms of heart attacks, strokes and diabetic emergencies. We all know someone who is at risk these days, whether it be yourself, a co-worker, or even a loved one. Getting your certification in CPR / AED and First Aid could help you be the one who saves a life someday.
Your Body Works provides training on a quarterly basis. Each segment is a minimum four-hour hands on practical workshop exclusively designed to help you feel confidant in responding to an Emergency. CPR & AED classes cover infant to adult rescue skills, and AED (Automatic Electric Defibrillator) training shows you how easy it can be to respond to cardiac emergencies. First Aid will help you recognize the signs and symptoms of other potential emergencies and injuries. You’ll learn the techniques necessary to help individuals in the event that emergency services are are not readily available, and immediate action is required.
Each workshop includes hands on practical assessment of each students skills, and a multiple choice exam. Upon successful completion of each workshop (passing score of 70% or better), each student receives their certification cards issued by ASHI (American Safety Health & Institute). All workshops offered are designed for home, community, workplace and health care professionals, and are renewable every 1–2 years.
